PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING HELP - Helping Hands is closing on the 23rd
posted about 2 years ago by EllyBird from Lismore Helping Hands
Dear Friends - The Helping Hands Hub has been a 100% volunteer run effort, and we are starting to run low on volunteers. We will be closing the centre on the 23rd of April, and not accepting any more jobs after the 21st of April.
If your house is unsafe and you still need help to finish cleaning, help lifting or sorting or help with mould please enter it now and we will work to get someone out to support you by the 23rd.
We no longer have any electricians or tradies to call on - please try and find someone yourself, if you are in a rental property it is your landlords responsibility to fix your house, if you need support dealing with your landlord go to the Recovery Centre.
If you need help with housing, business support, tenancy advice, vouchers for food & clothing, or help to access disaster recovery grants that are available for residents and businesses please go to the Recovery Centre at 120 Dalley St East Lismore.
If you need furniture you can go to the Pavilion at the Showgrounds every day between 10 - 2 where flood impacted people can get replacement goods from Lifeline for free.
You can still ask the wider community for support on the Helping Hands Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/161370884384945/
We hope you are managing ok - if you need someone to talk to you can call Lifeline on 13 11 14 and we are still at the train station from 10-2 each day except Monday.
